Hard Work

Hey you! Are you working hard, or hardly working? 😉

We all have different things we work hard towards, it could be an education, a job, or even just working on yourself. But one things for sure, in order to work hard you have to work for it! And I mean truly work for it. You need to know what your end goal is and envision it constantly! You have to be in the right mindset and have the right priorities. With the combination of the two you’ll be unstoppable!

When you are hustling and bustling it’s easy to lose sight on why you are working so hard to begin with. It’s important to remind yourself why you are doing it and how you will feel once you have accomplished you it. For me, I remind myself constantly that I’m in school for a degree and that it’s my end goal. Knowing that there is sight at the end of the tunnel is relieving and reassuring. It’s nice to know that all your hard work and dedication will be payed off in the end. And, not to mention sooo rewarding too! Keep your mind in the right mind set and preserver my friends, preserver!

I think where some people trip up the most is in setting their priorities. They’ll put one thing over another, when actually, it should be the other way around. When we don’t have the right priorities, it prohibits us from getting where we want to go… Or, it at least stops us from doing it in one fluid motion.  When we prioritize our task it allows us to accomplish the big things first and then go from there. It’s sooo important to put the most energy and time into the big things that are most important to us. When we do this it allows us to have time to complete the task and do it throughly. And, if something goes wrong we still have time to fix it! Once a big task is completed I know I feel a huge relief lifted off of my shoulders, and I’m sure you do too!

After working hard for something for so long and having it finally be accomplished is a great feeling! You’re able to look back on what you did and what you accomplished and feel proud! You show to yourself how far you have come, and how much you have grown. Hard work pays off in the end and only helps us reach our goals!

Keep working hard my friends and have a great day!!

Quality Time

d667724341b8b7804f9f078be67e99b4There is absolutely notthhhing I love more than spending quality time with my favorite people! I adore lazy weekends spent laughing, playing games, going on walks, and running errands with my peeps. There is just something so enjoyable about doing the “little things” with the people who mean most to me. Heck, I could even be doing nothing at all with them and still love every moment of it! If I’ve got them, I’ve got it all.

I love the simplicity of just laughing and enjoying the moment whenever I can. I value all my time spent with my loved ones, and I think you should too! Some people forget to leave time, and some people just don’t make time to spend with friends and family. No matter how busy your schedule is there is always time. And, if they are a true priority of yours you will make time. Even if it just an hour, use it!

Spending time with people shows them you love them and that you value their time. I think people need  quality time with others to be at peace with the world and with themselves. Being around the people you love and care about makes you happy and feel good! You get to spend time laughing, talking, and making memories, and what’s not enjoyable about that?! But, when we are around our peeps we need to be fully engaged and not just “half there”.

With our fast pace, non-stop world we need to start cherishing our time more than ever with our loved ones. We actually need to be fully engaged in what we are doing and not “somewhere else”. We need to put down the phones and stop worrying about other things on our mind. By doing this it shows a lack of interest and engagement to the people you are trying to spend time with. It shows them that you think whatever is on your mind or phone is more important than them. And you and I both know that is not the case. By playing on our phones or worrying about something two days from now it doesn’t allow us to enjoy the moment.

When you are with your loved ones make them your focus. Show them and tell them how much they mean to you. Engage in conversations and activities and be fully there in the moment. We only have so much time with the people who mean the most to us, so make the most of your time. Not only that, but actually find time. I bet you have more time to spend with them than you realize!

No matter what is going on in the world our loved ones will always be there for us. So, we need to start making more time for them.

Enjoy your day and spend some time with your favorite people!

Not Doing it All

abed320fbca0e211d138d269ec3b1986

“It’s okay to not do it all” is quickly become a new motto of mine. I wish I could do it all but in reality I can’t and no one can. In order for everyone to do it all there would need to be more hours in the day, and that just isn’t the case. We need to find a happy medium and with balance in our lives. There needs to be equal parts work to play. When we overwork ourselves it leaves no time for play, and well that is just darn right no fun!;)

With finding balance there needs to be commitment. We need to be committed to ourselves to not over do it and sign up for too many things at once. Everyone needs some R & R time to recoup and rejuvenate. When we sign up for too many things at once we easily become over whelmed and over stressed leading to an unbalanced life, and that is no bueno my friends! I have found this out the hard way through personal experiences multiple times. Even though it took me a while to figure out, I think I finally got the hang of it! 😉

We need to know it’s okay and that we aren’t failures if we can’t do it all. It is alright to tell people “no” for your own sanity. I personally have a hard time telling people “no” becasue I genuinely want to help and care for everyone! As much as I wish I could, I just can’t say “yes” to everything and everyone. Now, I try to only commit myself and say “yes” to the things that are most important to me and make them my top priority.

I think people like the idea of being crazy involved more than they actually like being involved. It all sounds fun at the begging when you sign up to be in three+ clubs, committees, organizations, ect. but is shortly catches up to you. Being involved takes up your time, energy, and attention. It’s better to be full heartedly committed to one or two things rather than multiple at once. So, find your one or two things that you passionately care about and give them your full attention!

It’s okay to not do it all and say “no”. We need to remember our own needs before we spread ourselves too thin. Find the things that make you most happy and commit to them. Find the balance in your life with equal parts work and play.

Have a great day and remember some time for yourself!!

Celebration!!

celebrate-every-tiny-victory

Woohooo! Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all have a great week and celebrate all the tiny victories you have! Life should be a constant celebration for all that you have accomplished, no matter how big or small. The tiny things we do each and every day tend to fly under the radar and go unnoticed, but in reality, it’s the tiny things that add up to some of our biggest victories.

Starting the week off of a positive note really helps set the tone for the rest of the week, so start out with a fun celebration! Think of it as a “treat your self” kind of celebration. Go and get yourself a fun coffee drink for getting an “A” on a test you studied hours for last week, or have an extra piece of cake for dessert, you deserve it! 😉

Life tends to be constantly busy and stressful, (at least for me) and when we forget to acknowledge all that we’ve done it tends to get very mundane. So, having this happy and celebration mindset will help push you to accomplish all things big and small. These accomplishments are your personal victories and you worked hard for them, now it’s time to celebrate! 🙂

I’m proud of you and keep going at it!
