Life is full of surprises, some good and some not so good. Things happen and things get out of control and don’t go as planned… Everything that could go wrong- does, and the excitement you had- vanishes. As unfortunate as it might seem, it happens… and it happens when you had expected it not to.
It’s easy to get caught up in the moment of events when they don’t go the way you had hoped it to, but somethings are just out of our control. As much as we would all like to, we can’t control how other people act or respond in situations. The only thing we can do is do our best to handle the situation at hand, and remind ourselves that it is not our fault. When things workout this way it’s important to know that we didn’t do anything wrong… we need to remind ourself that we did the absolute best we could.
When this happens we just need to roll with the punches and tackle one task at a time and then move on to the next one. Try to, to the best of your ability, handle the situation in a calm manor and in a good state of mind. Try to not let your emotions get the best of you- easier said than done, trust me. How you act and respond effects other people and their actions. The crowd will mirror how you are acting and responding when things aren’t working out the way you had planned. And if your situation doesn’t involve a crowd, still try to handle it in a good state of mind, for nothing good is ever accomplished in a bad one.
And lastly, take the situation and learn from it. Although the situation didn’t go as planned and, that is out of your control, learn what you can do differently for next time. Is there anything that could be done better for next time? is there anything that could have been prevented? or, did you do your absolute best and it was just a fluke experience? Try to find the bright side, even if it is just a tiny little one, it’s still there, and try to find joy in it. 🙂
Life is full of ups and downs, sometimes the best we can do is just roll with it. 🙂
Take today to be grateful for all the ups in your life, and don’t beat yourself up for all the downs. Things happen. Things get out of our control, and we just need to learn from it.
And, as always, have a great day!
