Starting off on the right foot

16996032_10208173293510816_3955370257245267205_nNo two days are the same, and every morning is a new beginning. The start of a new school year is well under way, and a new year is (almost…) right around the corner. With these fun and exciting new beginnings ,each and every day, it’s important to start all of them off on the right foot… in a positive and up beat way!

Starting off on the right foot carries with you and sets the tone for the rest of the day/ week/year/activity. I find that doing this helps me feel centered and grounded, allowing me to be present and live in my life. You can feel this way too, and here’s how:

Start every day/year/activity with a positive and grateful mindset. Before you begin, take a moment to yourself and reflect on all you are grateful for, and it’s that easy! Giving gratitude means you are giving thanks to all that you are thankful for. You are taking  time to really reflect and remember how blessed you are. It’s easy to go about your day and become envious or jealous of someone or something, but, doing this, reminds you of all that you have. Not only that, but, giving gratitude has been shown to make people happier, healthier, and friendlier!

My favorite complement to receive is when people tell me I am positive and upbeat. It makes me feel so happy! I love that I can share my positivity with others and they can see it. In some form it gives me recognition that I am living my life with purpose, and I am so grateful for that! But one things for sure, I can contribute all of my positivity and happiness to my daily gratitude.

I can confidently say that I would not be who I am today, if I wasn’t so connected to something bigger than myself and gave daily gratitude. It doesn’t matter how you want to get connect to raise your energy, all that matters is you get connected in some shape or form, and give gratitude. For me, in the morning I set the tone for the rest of my day by taking a moment to myself and think about how grateful I am. I think of all the people I have in my life, different experiences, my pets, and so on. I then thank God/the Universe/ Holy Spirt for giving me this day and allowing me to live my life and love my life. I take a moment to sit and resinate with all those thoughts, and then I get up and go about my day. Then, at night, I do the same and think about all that I am grateful for in that day. It’s as simple as and easy as that, and that is what I contribute my positivity and happiness from!

Try whatever works for you and give gratitude a go! You could try it out going for a walk, doing the dishes, stretching, coloring, or about to go to bed! There are no limits! Apply it to where you want it, and where you think it feels right for you!

I encourage you to start every day off on the right foot and give gratitude! Show your appreciation to the Universe and open your arms to receiving great things!

Do you already give gratitude? If so how? Do you think this is something you could start doing today?

As always,

Have a great day!

The Summer of Growth

IMG_2434

With each new year, comes all new seasons, and all new seasons comes great new opportunities… But one thing’s for sure, no matter the year, the seasons come and go way faster, or slower, than we’d like. Winter always seems to stick around too long, and Summer can never seem to stay long enough…. someone, please, tell me how that works! 😉

However, one thing that is great about the change in the weather, it’s a great internal checkpoint. With each new season it’s a great opportunity to take a step back and do some self reflecting. It’s a time to check in with yourself and evaluate how you are doing and feeling mentally, emotionally, and physically. You can ask yourself questions, look back at all you have accomplished, set new goals/ plans, or decide to change your life around.

Although summer isn’t technically over yet, take a second right now and reflect on all you have done this summer. Have you grown as a person? have you grown in your business? Are you happier than ever? Did you finally get your health figured out? Did you change your fear mindset into a faith mindset? However you want to do it, take a second right now and reflect. Ask yourself these questions and answer them honestly. It’s okay if your answers aren’t want you want them to be, you have the ability to change that around!

The change of the season is right around the corner and this Summer came and went in a heart beat. Today is my first day of college again, and this summer was by far my busiest and biggest one yet. Summer 2017, I’ll always remember, you were one for the books…

After looking back upon this Summer and doing my own self reflecting I decided that this Summer was the Summer of growth. I feel that I grew into myself more and became more aware and in-tune with who I am. I grew this new confidence and faith in myself that I have never had before, and I know it’s all becasue I am giving my all up to the universe and living in love. On top of that, I now love who I am, and who I am becoming. I am starting to make bigger decisions on my own, and really visualize my future- and I am doing this all with confidence. I have trust and faith in myself that I am making the right decisions for my life and that I am doing what is best for me. Summer 2017 was defiantly the summer of growth.

I hope you had a great Summer, and take the time to look back on your own Summer and do some self reflecting. I know that this Summer changed you, even if you don’t think it did!

Is there anything you always do with the change of the seasons? Do you have any other internal checkpoints?

Enjoy your last few days of summer and have a great day!

Personal Shopper!

Happy FriYay everyone!! As many of you may, or may not know, I am obsessed with all things fashion. I love everything about it- the trends, the industry, the culture, and the whole works! I have been fantasized by it for as long as I can remember. In elementary school I would get so excited to pick out my outfits for the first week of school because, hello, back to school shopping! In high school I was even named best dressed, ha! 🙂 Needless to say, I’ve always taken pride in how I present myself through my own personal style.

I love waking up each and every morning and putting together a fun new outfit! I love finding inspiration from things around me weather it be flowers, a picture, or Pintrest. I always try to challenge myself to see how many different outfits I can put together before I start to repeat, and let me tell ya, it can be hard sometimes! But I always love a good challenge! 😉1

With all that said, let me be your personal shopper! I want to help you create the ultimate wardrobe that is tailored directly towards you! Weather you are looking for one specific item, a few key pieces, or wanting a total overhaul of your current wardrobe, I am your gal! I will go shopping for you, or with you, based on your preference. Contact me for more details and view the image below 🙂

All Created Equal

IMG_2204

The Universe/God/Holy Sprit or whatever you want to call it, it spoke to me, and it spoke to me in a way I’ll never forget. I was sitting in a moment of judgment. I was judging the people around me and I was thinking, “I’m out of place, I don’t belong here with these people.” I’m ashamed to say it, but I’m only human. We all have our slip-ups and I am going to try my hardest to not have it happen again.

While I was sitting there with those bitter thoughts playing over and over in my head a voice came over me, a voice that was not my own, and said, “These people are your equals. You are one with them, and they are one with you. Do not judge, see love.” And man oh man, you better believe right in that instant I stopped judging. After I heard those words I felt myself relax and and settle into my chair. I started to view all the people in the room with love. I felt so much lighter and more balanced with who I am. I felt free, because I was free of judgment.

That was the first time I ever experienced anything like that, and I am so glad I did. You always hear stories from people talking about their own experiences with God/Universe/ Holy Spirit, and to me I find them so intriguing. I want to know how it happened, when it happened, and the full nine yards. I was starting to question my own spiritual connection just because I personally didn’t experience anything on my own. (Again, these thoughts where judgment, I was judging myself and not seeing myself as equal to others.) But now I have my own story, and I am still equal to all. We are all equal, we are all one.

We all need to set ourselves free of judgment and view everyone as equals. We where all put on this Earth for a specific reason, and no one is better than another. Viewing each other with love should be our main priority, not comparing ourselves to others. When thoughts of judgment start to creep into our heads we just need to take a step back, acknowledge that we had those thoughts, and recenter ourselves. like I said earlier, we are only human and we will make mistakes, wha’t important is we fix our mistakes. So every time we start to judge, stop, and start to love. View love, spread love, be loved, and accept love… love conquers all. Be the love.

As you go throughout your day today stop and pause for a moment if you catch yourself in thoughts of judgment. Sit and resonate with those thoughts and decide to shift your mindset to love. Start viewing everyone as equal, and know that you are one with all, and all are one with you.

Do you often catch yourself with these thoughts? How do you recenter yourself? Do you have your own experience with God/Universe/ Holy Spirt? (ps if you do I want to hear! Leave it in the comments below or email me 🙂 )

Have a great day and be the love!

Lending a Helping Hands

IMG_2184

A meaningful life is well spent by lending a helping hand.

Audrey Hepburn once said, ” You have two hands, one for helping yourself, and one for helping others”. It’s all about helping others reach their goals, while you are reaching your goals, simultaneously. You could be that person that finally gets someone up and running, with a few encouraging words or a motivational push. We can all lift others up, and not dim down your own light by having an equal balance of priorities. Still make time for yourself and your goals, while spending time helping others reach their goals. You are still the most important person to yourself, so don’t spend so much time helping others that you forget about you and what you want. We can all work together, bounce ideas off of each other, and brainstorm ways to help each other accomplish our own tasks. We just need to find balance and work together.

Working together and lending a helping hand can be done in more than one way, however you do it just make sure it’s constructive rather than destructive. One way you could spend time encouraging others is by motivating them to chase after their own dreams and reach their own goals. Some people really need this becasue if they’re anything like me, they’re a dreamer, and the dreamers need the realist to keep them grounded. There have been countless times in my life were I have had a million and one dreams and goals for myself and I just wanted to chase after them all, but the people around me encouraged me to focus on one or two at a time and really go for it!! It’s important to listen to others along the way and accept their help and advice, don’t turn it away, just hold your dreams and carry them with guidance.

Find your dreamer if you’re a realist, and find you realist if you’re a dreamer.

The second, but certainly not last, way we can help each other is by sharing our susses and failures- it helps keep us real and venerable. If you are striding towards a goal, or a chasing after a dream, tell people! Naturally, others will want to cheer you on and help you in any way. Letting others know holds you accountable and motivates you even more. And when you finally reach that goal, or catch that dream, let them know and share your experiences with them. If you see someone going after the same thing as you let them know how you did it, or what roadblocks you had to over come. Guide them so they can reach their own goal faster and stronger. Life is not a competition and there is no finish line, so lend a helping hand and help others learn from your past experiences.

Share in your successes and your failures.

Everyone has the power to help someone, big or small. You never know how much offering help to someone could impact their day. And once you do help, or at least offer to help, don’t expect anything back in return, just know that it will come back to you naturally. It’s more about giving than receiving. 🙂 Working together is great and ideal, but don’t force it upon someone if they really don’t want it. Just tell them your experience, or motivate them, and allow another person to come your way that is more than willing to work with you.

Find your person, and work with each other.

Take today to get one step closer to accomplishing a goal or dream of yours. Maybe you need to finally start writhing that book, sign up for a yoga class, or enroll in higher education. Don’t think about the “what ifs” and just go for it! The worst that could happen is it doesn’t work out, but at least you know you tried!

Do you consider yourself a dreamer or a realist? Do you work with others already to accomplish your goals? Do you find yourself in an equal balance of time for priorities?

As always,

Have a great day!

Outfits From July

Man oh man, how is July already over?! This Summer has just flown by!! (It goes even faster with Summer classes and working two jobs, but hey, what can I do? ;)) I hope you have been enjoying your days and appreciating the warmer weather! I know I am loving it and wishing it could stay like this year round! Maybe I’ll have to move down south one day to fulfill that dream, ha!

For today’s post I have rounded up a few of my favorite looks from this past month. Getting to work at a boutique is such a fun way to breakout all of my cute clothes that don’t get to see the daylight enough. Below I captured a few of my favorite looks, enjoy!

IMG_1912

When in doubt, wear a denim skirt. I love how easy and versatile they are to wear. You can dress them up or down in so many ways. Pair them with your favorite top and a cute pair of shoes, and you’re good to go! If you don’t have one in your closet I suggest getting one! I get so much wear out of mine and adore it.

IMG_1975

As if we haven’t seen enough of off shoulder tops this season 😉 This is a trend that I am loving whole heartedly. I hope this never ever goes out of style, but if it does, I’ll still wear them-ha! They are so fun to wear, and I find them flattering too. Like the denim skirt, you can dress them up or down. I have it shown tucked into my favorite J. Crew cargo shorts, but you could also pair it with jeans and a fun pair of heels.

IMG_2045

My color obsession at the moment is blush! Any and all things blush, and I can’t seem to get enough of it! I scored these cute shorts for $10, whoop whoop!! Between the price and color I snatched them up real quick, I mean how could I not?! I paired them with one of my favorite pairs of loafers and an easy white tank. This look was so fun, and comfortable.

IMG_2051

This romper has my heart, it’s everything you could want and more! It has the prettiest bell sleeves, empire waist, and flattering neckline. The pattern on it is so fun and different, it for sure brings a bit of variety into my closet. This look could also be worn off the shoulder, but I liked the look of this neckline becasue it’s so different.

IMG_2075

Two words, Lilly Pulitzer. *insert heart eye emoji here* I got this skirt a while back and finally had the time to get it altered, (short girl probs) and I couldn’t love it more! The detail and structure of it is amazing! I see myself having this for years to come and having countless wears. I have the same white tank as shown in two pictures up but just styled in a different way.

Well friends, there ya have it, a few of my favorite looks from the month of July! I hope you enjoy the new month of August and make the most of it. School is about to start up again for me and I am excited for a new year!

Do you have any go-to looks during the Summer? Do you have any must-have pieces in your closet? Do you find it easy to diversify your clothes and dress them up or down?

As always,

Have a great day!
