Starting off on the right foot

The start of a new school year is well under way, and a new year is (almost…) right around the corner. With these fun and exciting new beginnings ,each and every day, it’s important to start all of them off on the right foot… in a positive and up beat way!

Starting off on the right foot carries with you and sets the tone for the rest of the day/ week/year/activity. I find that doing this helps me feel centered and grounded, allowing me to be present and live in my life. You can feel this way too, and here’s how:

Start every day/year/activity with a positive and grateful mindset. Before you begin, take a moment to yourself and reflect on all you are grateful for, and it’s that easy! Giving gratitude means you are giving thanks to all that you are thankful for. You are taking  time to really reflect and remember how blessed you are. It’s easy to go about your day and become envious or jealous of someone or something, but, doing this, reminds you of all that you have. Not only that, but, giving gratitude has been shown to make people happier, healthier, and friendlier!

My favorite complement to receive is when people tell me I am positive and upbeat. It makes me feel so happy! I love that I can share my positivity with others and they can see it. In some form it gives me recognition that I am living my life with purpose, and I am so grateful for that! But one things for sure, I can contribute all of my positivity and happiness to my daily gratitude.

I can confidently say that I would not be who I am today, if I wasn’t so connected to something bigger than myself and gave daily gratitude. It doesn’t matter how you want to get connect to raise your energy, all that matters is you get connected in some shape or form, and give gratitude. For me, in the morning I set the tone for the rest of my day by taking a moment to myself and think about how grateful I am. I think of all the people I have in my life, different experiences, my pets, and so on. I then thank God/the Universe/ Holy Spirt for giving me this day and allowing me to live my life and love my life. I take a moment to sit and resinate with all those thoughts, and then I get up and go about my day. Then, at night, I do the same and think about all that I am grateful for in that day. It’s as simple as and easy as that, and that is what I contribute my positivity and happiness from!

Try whatever works for you and give gratitude a go! You could try it out going for a walk, doing the dishes, stretching, coloring, or about to go to bed! There are no limits! Apply it to where you want it, and where you think it feels right for you!

I encourage you to start every day off on the right foot and give gratitude! Show your appreciation to the Universe and open your arms to receiving great things!
